Blount doubtful after missing another practice for Bucs

The signs don't look good for Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back LeGarrette Blount to play in Sunday's game against the Saints.

Blount was listed as doubtful by the Buccaneers Friday after missing a third straight day of practice. Blount is known to have left last week's blowout loss to the 49ers due to an injury to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. The extent of the injury is not known, however.

The Bucs did rule out defensive tackle Gerald McCoy (ankle), tight end Luke Stocker (knee) and wide receiver Sammie Stroughter (foot) for Sunday's game, according to the team's official injury report.

Bucs linebacker Mason Foster returned to practice Friday and is questionable, as is linebacker Zac Diles (hamstring). The Bucs also announced that safety Tanard Jackson, who returned from suspension this week, will be active for the game.

The Saints ruled out offensive tackle Zach Strief (knee), tight end David Thomas (concussion) and linebacker Will Herring (hamstring).
