San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson missed his second consecutive practice of the week Thursday because of a hamstring injury.
Jackson, who was questionable for last week's victory over the Miami Dolphins because of an abdomen injury, was able to play, but he left the game during the second quarter and hardly played after that with what coach Norv Turner described as a muscle strain.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Chargers suspect the latest injury is the result of overcompensating for the abdomen strain that caused Jackson to miss several practices but no games.
Jackson's latest injury could be problematic for the Chargers, who have been without star tight end Antonio Gates for the last two games because of a foot injury. Gates also missed his second consecutive practice Thursday.
Cornerback Quentin Jammer (illness) didn't practice, but center Nick Hardwick (neck) returned after sitting out Wednesday.
