Bowles: If Revis plays vs. Dolphins 'it will be a bonus'

It doesn't sound good for Darrelle Revis' prospects of facing the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

The New York Jets sent the cornerback home to rest Wednesday as he deals with concussion symptoms.

"He just wasn't 100 percent still and the doctors won't let him sit in meetings just yet," coach Todd Bowles said, via the New York Post.

Revis exited last week's loss with a head injury. Given that he's still dealing with symptoms, Gang Green is preparing to enter Sunday without their best defensive back.

"We're ready to play without him, but if he comes back it will be a bonus," Bowles said. "We'll see later in the week. We're preparing to play without him."

If Revis sits, it will be a good thing for Dolphins pass catchers Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews, who could take advantage of weaker cover men.

Landry in particular would have an advantage if Revis is out. While the Pro Bowl corner doesn't always travel to the slot, he did in the teams' Week 4 matchup in London and helped hold Landry to four catches for 40 yards.
