Bradford's Rams jersey receives dreaded 2-for-1 tag

It appears there's a substantial surplus of Sam Bradford merchandise in St. Louis.

In a case that affirms the fickle nature of fan support -- or perhaps just a sagging national economy -- Bradford's No. 8 jersey received the ignominious "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" designation at an official team shop Sunday, when the Rams lost 20-13 to the Cincinnati Bengals.

CNBC sports business guy Darren Rovell tweeted a photo taken from inside the House That Edward James built.

Bradford didn't play in the game, as he continues to deal with the effects of a lingering high ankle sprain.

Bradford was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, then proceeded to capture the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. His sophomore season has been marked by frustration, however, as team struggles and the ankle issue have dimmed his star some.

For the season, Bradford has completed 191 of 357 passes for 2,164 yards and six touchdowns with six interceptions. The Rams are 2-12 this season after going 7-9 in Bradford's impressive rookie campaign.
