Breshad Perriman expected back for Ravens OTAs

Much like the Jaguars with Dante Fowler and the Bears with Kevin White, the Ravens essentially have an extra first-round draft pick this year after Breshad Perriman missed the entirety of his rookie season with a lingering knee injury.

Although Perriman briefly returned to the practice field in September, the No. 26 overall pick in last year's draft never rebounded from a PCL sprain sustained on the first day of training camp.

Four months after he was placed on season-ending injured reserve, Perriman is doing well enough for the Ravens' website to report that he's expected to be back on the field for organized team activities this spring.

"I don't know what percentage it is right now, but I know everybody seems to be happy with his progress," coach John Harbaugh said Tuesday. "He looks strong."

Prior to suffering his own knee injury in late November, Joe Flacco was throwing to former special teamer Kamar Aiken, undrafted Jeremy Butler and Rams castoff Chris Givens as his top three receivers.

If Perriman and Steve Smith (torn Achilles tendon) recapture pre-injury form, Flacco should have one of the most improved wide receiver corps in the league, with deep threat Mike Wallacejoining the fleet.
