"He is taking a job out there," Bus Cook, Favre's agent, told the newspaper. "He is going out there, and it will give him something to do."
If he accepts, Favre will design the offense under Warriors head coach Nevil Barr.
"Right now nothing is official," Barr told the newspaper. "Brett is on vacation in Colorado, and we will talk on Monday. We will talk on Monday to see how involved he wants to be. We lost our offensive coordinator a few weeks ago.
"We have talked about it, and we will do more talking on Monday. It will be good for the kids. He is still very enthusiastic on the field."
WDAM-TV in Hattiesburg reports that the Lamar County School Board is expected to meet Monday night.
The sight of Favre throwing passes to Oak Grove players became a rite of summer during his on-again/off-again stint with the Minnesota Vikings. This time around, no such drama. Meaning we'll avoid sending Scott Hanson to camp out on Favre's lawn.
