Broncos long-snapper Lonie Paxton was ruled out for Saturday night's divisional playoff game against the New England Patriots so he can take care of his wife, who's experiencing complications related to her pregnancy, according to The Denver Post.
The Post reported that Paxton wanted to reach out to the Denver community, via his agent, to thank fans for the outpouring of well-wishes.
"He really appreciates the tremendous outpouring of support out there," agent Paul Sheehy told the newspaper.
The Broncos signed longtime San Diego Chargers long-snapper David Binn on Friday to replace Paxton, who also played for the Patriots from 2000 to 2008.
