Broncos promote LB Briggs, put WR Willis on injured reserve

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Denver Broncos promoted linebacker Diyral Briggs from their practice squad Tuesday and placed wide receiver Matthew Willis on season-ending injured reserve with a broken foot.

The Broncos also signed wide receiver Eron Riley to their practice squad.

Briggs was signed to Denver's practice squad Sept. 22 after spending parts of the past two seasons on San Francisco's roster. He had four special-teams tackles in four games with the 49ers last season and played in their opener against the Seattle Seahawks this season.
