Broncos send RB Arrington to Eagles for LB Mays or draft pick

The Denver Broncos sent running back J.J. Arrington to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for linebacker Joe Mays or a 2012 conditional draft pick, it was announced Friday night.

Arrington is coming off microfracture surgery that forced him to miss all of last season. Before joining the Broncos -- with whom he never played a down -- Arrington spent four years with the Arizona Cardinals, rushing for 654 yards and three touchdowns.

Arrington still has to pass a physical, according to the *Philadelphia Daily News*. If the running back fails to make the team, the Eagles will get a sixth-round pick in 2012.

Mays is entering his third season, having played in 13 games and made only one start in Philadelphia.
