Bruce Allen knows who Washington Redskins will draft at No. 2

Washington Redskins general manager Bruce Allen says there is no question who his team will draft with the second pick on Thursday night.

"We know exactly who we're going to take after the Colts take Andrew Luck," Allen told the NFL Network Thursday. "Yes, we do."

The Redskins traded three first-round picks and a second-rounder to the St. Louis Rams to move into the slot.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahansaid on Wednesday that he was "99.9 percent" sure that Washington was going to take Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III at No. 2. Allen confirmed Thursday that a decision had been made.

Allen said: "We fell in love with both quarterbacks (Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III)."

"We think Robert fits our offense to a T," Allen said of the Heisman Trophy winner.

Washington was impressed with both quarterbacks' bodies of work and what they found out about them as individuals.

"He's got everything we look for," Shanahan said. "I look forward to working with him."

Allen seemed to agree with Shanahan's enthusiasm for the Baylor quarterback.

"His charisma will be embraced," Allen said.
