Bucs' McCoy closer to return; Blount's status vs. Bears murky

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy practiced for a second consecutive day and remains a possibility to suit up for Sunday's London showdown against the Chicago Bears.

The Chicago Tribune reported that McCoy was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. That came one day after the St. Petersburg Times reported McCoy showed good movement during practice Wednesday after he sat out the Bucs' Week 6 victory over the New Orleans Saints with a high ankle sprain.

Running back LeGarrette Blount, on the other hand, remains a long shot to play for Tampa Bay.

The Tribune also reported Thursday that Blount sat out his second consecutive practice, making it seem unlikely that he'll play against the Bears. Blount suffered a knee sprain during a Week 5 loss to the San Francisco 49ers and didn't play against the Saints.
