Burress finished the 2011 season -- his first action since 2008 -- with 45 receptions for 612 yards and eight touchdowns. He will become a free agent on March 13, and it appears another of the Giants' chief adversaries is near the top of his playing wish list.
Burress told WCAU-TV while in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI that he wants to play for the Philadelphia Eagles.
It was thought the Eagles would take a hard look at Burress last offseason following the successful return of Michael Vick from a prison sentence. The Eaglesreportedly had some interest, although it was tepid.
This time around, the Eagles face an uncertain offseason when it comes to their wide receivers. DeSean Jackson is a free agent and is coming off a season in which he failed to eclipse 1,000 yards receiving for the first time since his 2008 rookie campaign. It's possible the Eagles could use the franchise tag on Jackson, although head coach Andy Reid hasn't given any indication of the team's plans.
