Detroit Lions coach Jim Caldwellsounds prepared to rest Calvin Johnson if necessary this weekend. Johnson isn't ready to accept that fate.
Johnson told reporters Wednesday he hopes to be on the field when the Lions meet the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Johnson has been slowed considerably in recent weeks by a high ankle sprain. He was forced to come out of Detroit's Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills after taking a hard shot on the leg in the third quarter.
"A lot of treatment," he replied.
That probably won't happen until Megatron gets some true rest -- which you can expect will occur this weekend.
