Cardinals avert local TV blackout of wild-card game vs. Falcons

The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday that their NFC wild-card game against the Atlanta Falcons will be shown live locally on KPNX-TV after the non-club seats at University of Phoenix Stadium were sold out.

In order for Saturday's game to be shown live on local TV, the non-club seats needed to be sold out 72 hours before kickoff, according to NFL rules. However, the league extended that deadline to 2:30 p.m. Mountain time Friday.

Tickets returned from the visiting team's allotment and club seats -- neither of which count in the NFL's TV blackout rules -- remain available for purchase. Club seats start at $164.75, and fans can purchase those tickets through Ticketmaster by phone (480-784-4444) or online.

Tickets also are available at the University of Phoenix Stadium box office in Glendale, the Cardinals' training-facility box office in Tempe and all participating Ticketmaster locations.

The Cardinals have sold out all 31 of their games played at University of Phoenix Stadium.
