Cards' Rhodes suffers broken foot but isn't out for season

The Arizona Cardinals have lost starting free safety Kerry Rhodes for "a number of weeks" to a broken foot, coach Ken Whisenhunt said Monday, according to the team's official website .

Rhodes was injured Sunday during the first quarter of the Cardinals' 34-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and didn't return to the game.

Whisenhunt said Rhodes could have surgery, but he's still expected to return this season. Rashad Johnson, who replaced Rhodes against the Vikings, will move into the starting lineup, Whisenhunt added.

Cardinals starting left guard Daryn Colledge, who left against the Vikings after suffering a blow to the head, will have a concussion test before he can play again, Whisenhunt said.

It figures to help Colledge that the Cardinals have a bye in Week 6.
