Central Florida will be without starting linebacker Willie Mitchell for the second game in a row in the aftermath of a DUI he received early this month.
Mitchell (6-0, 228 pounds) started the first two games for the Knights and made eight tackles. He was arrested for DUI on Sept. 7 and missed the Knights' Sept. 14 win at Penn State; he also will miss Saturday's game with South Carolina.
True freshman Chequan Burkett (6-1, 212) started in Mitchell's place against Penn State and made one tackle. He is listed as Mitchell's backup on UCF's depth chart, but the Knights could start out in a 4-2-5 set against the Gamecocks. In that scenario, senior Sean Maag (6-1, 194) could be the nickelback. He began his career at Army, where he did not play football, before transferring to UCF and walking-on last season.
