Are you ready for more Canadian Football League zaniness?
Of course you are. Last week, we were treated to a 129-yard touchdown return by Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive back Tristan Jackson.
Now we have another long field-goal return -- this one for 116 yards -- that ends with a blooper that would make DeSean Jacksonproud. Chris Williams of the Hamilton Tiger Cats hauls in the missed kick, slices through a sea Montreal Alouettes players, but gets tackled at the 1-yard line after going into his celebration about 20 yards too soon.
"I didn't like the ending, but I sure liked the start!" cooed the Tiger Cats' color man.
Officials initially ruled Williams still scored on the play, but the call was overturned and the ball was placed on the Alouttes' 1-yard line. The Tiger Cats punched it in for the touchdown, saving Williams' Canadian bacon.
FYI: CFL fields are 110 yards long by 65 yards across with two 20-yard end zones. Maybe he got lost.
