SAN DIEGO -- Chargers rookie wide receiver Craig Davis could miss Sunday's game at Denver with a sprained ankle.
Coach Norv Turner said Friday that Davis' availability will be a gametime decision. Davis is listed as questionable on the injury report.
"It felt pretty good," Davis said. "We'll see."
If Davis can't go, Malcom Floyd would replace him.
The Chargers (1-3) need all the help they can get to erase a three-game losing streak and try to keep pace with the other AFC West teams, all of which are a game ahead of San Diego.
What's been particularly troubling for the Chargers is letting a fourth-quarter lead slip away in a loss at Green Bay, and squandering a 10-point halftime lead in a home loss to Kansas City.
Learning to execute for a full 60 minutes was the theme of Turner's post-practice lecture, one that could be heard by bystanders as the coach raised his voice.
"The biggest thing for us, it's very clear, clear to me and clear to them -- it's finishing," Turner said later. "Obviously, we have been in position in the last two football games and we need to play a complete game."
All-Pro tight end Antonio Gates returned to practice after missing Thursday's session with an illness. Gates, the team's leading receiver, will start on Sunday. Also working were defensive tackle Jamal Williams (knee) and inside linebacker Carlos Polk (knee). Both will play against the Broncos.
Wide receiver Eric Parker (toe) and fullback Andrew Pinnock (knee) have been ruled out for Sunday's game.
