Chiefs' new GM once caught a TD pass from team's OC

Kansas City Chiefs new general manager Brett Veach has an interesting relationship with the team's offensive coordinator Matt Nagy.

The two played together at the University of Delaware. In 2000, Nagy was the quarterback, Veach the receiver.

Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star dug up a pretty hookup between the duo:

What a beautiful pitch and catch. Veach's touchdown helped propel a 25-point comeback win for the Blue Hens in the "Battle of the Blue" versus Villanova. The final score that day was 59-42. It was Delaware's only win over Villanova in a seven-year stretch.

Veach and Nagy have both been fast risers since entering the NFL ranks as a scout and assistant, respectively, under Andy Reid in Philadelphia. The two Delaware products hope to continue making magic together in prominent positions in K.C.
