Chip Kelly: Nick Foles won't run read option 20 times

In Michael Vick and Nick Foles, Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly has two very different quarterbacks to choose from when deciding on his starter.

And while Vick's skill set might better match what Kelly found success with during his college run at Oregon, the first-year Eagles coach won't force the issue if Foles ends up being his guy.

"If I called 20 read-option plays with Nick Foles in the game, I should be fired," Kelly said Friday, according to CSNPhilly.com.

The Eagles' decision to draft Matt Barkley was the first sign that Kelly wasn't going to marry himself to one style of offense in the NFL. Vick had the slight edge over Foles in first-team reps Friday, but it's clear both players are going to get a shot at this.

If Foles is the man, the Eagles could end up with a much more traditional offense than we expected.
