Chris Johnson donates cleats to benefit Newtown fund

We told you Wednesday how Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnsonspoke with the family of Grace McDonnell, one of the victims of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting.

Johnson wore the names of the 26 victims on his shoes when he scored a 94-yard touchdown on "Monday Night Football" against the New York Jets. A friend of the McDonnell family contacted Johnson after seeing the gesture, and Johnson wound up speaking to the family and Grace's 11-year-old brother, Jack.

We're happy to tell you the story didn't end there.

To honor Grace and all the victims lost in the tragedy, Chris has donated his cleats to NFL Auction. The auction will raise money for the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, established by United Way of Western Connecticut.

Fans can bid on the auction through Jan. 7 by visiting NFL.com/auction.
