INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Darrell Reid won't face criminal charges for refusing to leave a nightclub parking lot.
Reid was arrested early Sunday for disorderly conduct and trespassing after police said he ignored an officer's orders to leave the parking lot. But a spokesman for the Marion County prosecutor says the charges were vacated because Reid was on a side street that turns onto the parking lot and never officially was on the club's property.
According to the police report, Reid arrived at Club Oxygen as an off-duty officer was helping clear the parking lot because the club was at capacity. The officer told Reid he could not enter, but the Colts player said he knew the owner and should be allowed to go inside. Colts spokesman Craig Kelley says the team has no comment.
