Colts to keep training camp at Anderson

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indianapolis Colts have made it official: Training camp will stay at Anderson University in 2012.

Monday's announcement ends weeks of speculation. Team owner Jim Irsay said after the draft that the expected the camp to stay in Anderson, about 25 miles north of Indy, and that the decision would come soon.

Players will report to camp July 28. Practice will begin July 29.

In a statement issued by the team, new general manager Ryan Grigson says Colts officials made several visits to campus and that they were impressed with the amenities, the layout and the university's experienced staff.

The Colts held camp at Anderson from 1984-98, then moved training camp to Terre Haute, Ind., where they stayed until 2010.
