Colts' Xavier Nixon misses team flight, out vs. Patriots

A bizarre Saturday continues to unfold for the Indianapolis Colts.

Backup offensive lineman Xavier Nixon missed the team flight and is listed as out for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots, the team confirmed to NFL Media early Saturday evening.

This comes hours after the team announced Trent Richardsonwould not travel with the team due to personal reasons.

Nixon played in four games this season, and made his lone start Week 16 against the Cowboys.

He was inactive for the Colts' two postseason games, so this development is more of an embarrassment for Nixon than an impactful hit for Indianapolis.
