Cortland Finnegan: 'Craig Dahl is lame and weak'

New 49ers safety Craig Dahl went public Wednesday to say that his former team, the St. Louis Rams, got the best of San Francisco last season by taking advantage of the Niners' habit of tipping plays on offense.

"Different personnel and different alignment stuff really were the big keys as far as giveaways. It's been addressed and corrected (by 49ers coaches)," Dahl said, seemingly unaware that his former teammates might react poorly to such quickly shifting loyalties.

Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan wasn't a fan of Dahl's revelations:

Finnegan followed that up by tweeting, "Craig Dahl is lame and weak for that glad he with another squad."

The Rams aren't the first NFL team to use game film to chart and take advantage of an opponent's tendencies. We watched those games closely, and St. Louis played some of its best football against the eventual NFC champions.

The Rams will see Dahl again twice this season -- a Week 4 home matchup on NFL Network's "Thursday Night Football" and at San Francisco in Week 13 -- and we imagine they'll find a way to say hello.
