Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Waretold ESPNDallas.com that he's scheduled to have shoulder surgery Thursday.
Ware played most of the season with a torn labrum that caused his right shoulder to pop in and out of the joint. He told ESPNDallas.com that he hopes to be back for training camp.
Ware also has a hyperextended right elbow, but a decision on surgery for that hasn't been made.
Ware finished with a team-high 11.5 sacks and was voted to his seventh consecutive Pro Bowl. The injuries, however, took their toll, and he was limited to 2.5 sacks in the final eight games.
