Danny Amendola ties NFL record for first-half receptions

ST. LOUIS -- Danny Amendola of the St. Louis Rams had 12 receptions in the first half Sunday to tie the NFL record set by the Indianapolis Colts' Reggie Wayne in 2007.

Amendola's first-half receptions total against the Washington Redskins tied his career high for a game, and his 133 yards were a career high for the undrafted receiver out of Texas Tech.

The Rams went on to win 31-28.

Amendola finished with 15 catches for 160 yards.

Amendola had a 1-yard touchdown reception, rebounding after his fumble on the Rams' first snap was returned for a touchdown by the Redskins' Josh Wilson.

Amendola caught five passes for 70 yards in the Rams' season opener. He missed virtually all of last season after injuring his elbow in the opener.
