It's been well-documented that Kansas City Chiefs rookie De'Anthony Thomas played his youth ball for Snoop Dogg in the Snoop Youth Football League before going on to college stardom at Oregon. But a couple of other alumns from Snoop's youth league have an NFL shot, as well: cornerbacks Kam Jackson and Greg Ducre were signed as undrafted free agents by the Indianapolis Colts and San Diego Chargers, respectively.
"They all got scooped up. ... We're very happy and very proud of these kids," Snoop said, according to TMZ.
Thomas rushed for 594 yards last year at Oregon with eight touchdowns. The first Snoop player to be drafted was former San Diego State running back Ronnie Hillman, who was a third-round pick of the Denver Broncos in the 2012 draft.
"I feel good about the guys that are coming out this year, the year after ... and the kids that are in the league right now," Snoop added.
Ducre made two interceptions and broke up seven passes at Washington last year as a senior. Thomas and Jackson both declared for the NFL draft early. Jackson, a Cal product, intercepted UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley three times last year and announced his decision in December.
