Denver Broncos unveiled scoreboard on Fourth of July

During a fireworks show Thursday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, the Denver Broncos and the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse unveiled a 220-feet long, 40-feet high LED video board, according to the Denver Post.

The monstrous scoreboard -- third-largest in the NFL -- is the jewel of $30 million in stadium improvements this offseason.

The home teams tweeted a sneak peek at the board earlier this offseason:

Other improvements include two new HD video displays above the stadium's north end zone, a nearly 1,500-foot-wide LED ribbon display, a new sound system and more than 1,000 flat screen monitors added throughout the stadium, according to The Post.

The Broncoskick off the 2013 season when they host the Super Bowl-champion Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5, exactly nine weeks from today.
