With Michael Vick's starting job with the Philadelphia Eagles essentially on life support, the quarterback didn't receive a rousing endorsement from his star wide receiver, DeSean Jackson.
Schein: Playing Mr. Fix-It
Adam Schein knows what's wrong with the Eagles. He also knows how to save them and eight other troubled teams. **More ...**
"It's one of (those situations when) we just stay in tuned and whatever the coaches decide to do, definitely just have to move along with it and hopefully we can get things turned around out here," Jackson said. "We're too good a team to be on a three-game losing streak, so whatever it is we need to do to fix it and get things rolling, that is what we are here to do."
Vick admitted after Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons that his job was in jeopardy, and NFL.com and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday that coach Andy Reid wasn't ready to make a decision, but two sources wouldn't be surprised if a switch was made.
Jackson hedged when asked if he believed rookie Nick Foles, a third-round draft pick, was ready to take over the most pressure-filled position in Philadelphia.
"I know as far as Nick Foles what he is capable of doing coming out of college from Arizona, he's definitely a great quarterback," Jackson said. "Very young, too, at the same time. It's just one of those things, you never know until it happens. ... We're just honestly just sitting around, and we'll go to work tomorrow see if anything's changed or what's new, just ready to get going and turn this thing around."
Jackson went on to discuss Foles' feasibility as a starter in a telephone interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer.
"As far as games, I think he's able to do it," Jackson said. "I think the sky's the limit for him. He's a talented player. He's just hasn't really gotten that opportunity, as far as this season. We'll just see how it goes."
