Detroit Lions tight end Dorin Dickerson told the media he failed to tell doctors he suffered a concussion early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Giants until it was already the overtime period, Michigan Live reported.
For years, the NFL has been encouraging players to report suspected concussions. The league has added observers to look for head injuries. This year, the league placed independent neurospecialists on the sideline to help diagnose head injuries.
But it still comes down to the players, who need to report any head injuries.
