Dolphins claim ex-Giant Damontre Moore off waivers

Damontre Moore has found a new home south of the Big Apple.

The recently releasedGiants defensive end was claimed off waivers on Monday by the Miami Dolphins, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of the situation.

Moore was infamously cut loose Friday by the G-Men after fighting with teammate Cullen Jenkins. Per Rapoport, Moore was upset about not receiving free headphones like other players on the team, the latest of several displays of immaturity by the third-year pass rusher.

A third-round pick in 2013, Moore never climbed to stardom with the Giants, amassing just 8.5 sacks over three seasons, with none of those takedowns coming in 2015.

In Miami, Moore joins a depth chart topped by Olivier Vernon and Derrick Shelby and filled out by fellow ends Terrence Fede, Jordan Williams and another recent New York-based pickup, former Jets bust Quinton Coples.

In case you're wondering, Moore wasn't available for Monday night's tilt with -- you guessed it -- the Giants.

UPDATE: The transaction was confirmed by the Dolphins on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, Miami waived center Jacques McClendon.
