Miami Dolphins linebacker Jason Taylor, who is sixth on the all-time league sacks list, has decided to retire after the end of his 15th NFL season on Sunday, according to the Miami Herald.
The newspaper cited two team sources in reporting late Tuesday that Taylor will call it quits after Sunday's home game against the New York Jets.
The report said it's not known whether or not Taylor will make an announcement before the game.
Taylor, who is 37, is not believed to be battling any significant injuries.
The former Akron star has had three separate stints with Miami and played one season each with the Washington Redskins and New York Jets.
Taylor was named the 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year and the 2007 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year.
He has 139.5 sacks in his career.
