The Miami Dolphins want to make sure not everything that happens at practice is for public consumption.
The Dolphins have asked fans who attend the team's open practices not to post video on the Internet, the South Florida Sun Sentinelreported Thursday.
"We have rules in place that don't allow fans to take video of practice," Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said. "Those rules exist so that we're not placed at a competitive disadvantage by having the teams we play see video of any portion of our practices."
Greene stressed that videotaping and disseminating footage of Dolphins practices can hurt the team. With the New England Patriots and New York Jets sharing residency with the Dolphins in the AFC East, the team doesn't want any additional challenges in its quest to return to the postseason.
"I'm sure that our fans understand that concern, and I'm confident they will follow our camp guidelines to prevent that from happening again," Greene said.
