The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday that WR Dwayne Bowe has signed his franchise tender.
In his last two seasons, Bowe has caught 153 passes for 2,321 yards and 20 TDs. In 2011, he notched 81 receptions for 1,159 yards and five TDs. During the 2010 season, he recorded 72 catches for a career-best 1,162 yards and a franchise-record 15 TDs, a mark that led the NFL and included a stretch of seven consecutive games with a TD reception to set a team record. He earned second-team All-Pro honors and was selected to the Pro Bowl following his 2010 campaign.
His 356 receptions rank seventh in team history and his 4,927 receiving yards rank eighth in club annals. With 36 touchdown catches, he ranks fifth in Chiefs history while his 73 catches of 20-plus yards are third-most in franchise record books.
The Miami, Fla., native originally entered the NFL as Kansas City's first-round selection (23rd overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. He was a first-team All-SEC selection at LSU, where he caught 154 passes for 2,403 yards and a school-record 26 TDs.
