Eagles, Chiefs land in New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl LIX

Boots are officially on the ground in New Orleans a week ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

This year's NFC participant, the Philadelphia Eagles, landed at Louis Armstrong International Airport on Sunday at 3:33 p.m. ET ahead of a weeklong whirlwind preparation for the big game. The Kansas City Chiefs, two-time defending champions, touched down shortly thereafter at 5:02 p.m. ET.

With both teams now in town, the stage is set for New Orleans to host its 11th Super Bowl, a rematch of a 38-35 Super Bowl LVII victory by the Chiefs two years ago that began Kansas City's potential run to a historic three-peat.

Philly will obviously have something to say about that as it seeks its second-ever Lombardi Trophy, hoping for a little revenge along the way.

The Chiefs and Eagles kick off Super Bowl LIX at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 9.
