The No. 5 overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft is back on the open market.
Linebacker Devin White was released by the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, having gone four games with the team without playing a snap.
A first-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, White started the majority of his rookie season, was the leading tackler for the Super Bowl winners in his second campaign and was a Pro Bowler in his third year. However, his production could be deceiving, as his PFF grades have ranged from 36.1 to 51.9 through his career and he's been a liability in run defense.
White's fifth-year option wasn't picked up by the Bucs and he signed a one-year deal this offseason with Philadelphia.
White was inactive for the team's first four games and coming out of their bye week, the Eagles have cut ties with the veteran linebacker.
