It's safe to consider Eagles wideout Jeremy Maclin unfazed by the trash talk emanating from the Giants locker room.
First, Justin Tucksaid he hoped concussed Eagles quarterback Michael Vick would be on the field in the Week 3 showdown between the NFC East rivals. Safety Antrel Rolle then upped the ante considerably by saying he didn't want "any excuses when we go down to Philly and put it to 'em the way we will."
Maclin senses some overcompensation by the Giants.
"He's just talking," Maclin told CSNPhilly.com on Wednesday. "A lot of times when people talk, they're either insecure or scared. You guys choose. "I don't know what he's trying to do but he's not going to intimidate, not going to scare nobody in this locker room."
Maclin doesn't want to dwell on past success, but he's surprised the Giants are so chatty considering how the rivalry has played out of late.
"It may have some effect but in reality it shouldn't carry over at all," Maclin said. "It's a new year. We understand that we have to go out there and play.
"On the other hand, they have no business talking because they haven't done anything in the last six times. That speaks for itself."
