Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed is known for vacillating in his public statements about his future.
But there was no reading between the lines when it came to his actions on Thursday.
One day after saying he would be playing football this season, Reed showed up to work at the Ravens' facility Thursday. He went through a workout that the team recorded and played on their website.
Reed hasn't said publicly that he will show up to training camp on time, and nothing would surprise us. But Reed's action to show up to his team's facility Thursday to truly start getting ready for the season speaks louder than words. He'll be in a Baltimore Ravens uniform in Week 1; the only question is whether the Ravens will consider giving him a new contract in the meantime.
