Defensive end Ray Edwards doubts he will be back with the Minnesota Vikings after this season, he told the *St. Paul Pioneer Press* on Thursday.
Edwards, who is seeking a long-term contract, believes he isn't a top priority for the Vikings.
"There are too many guys," Edwards said, according to the Pioneer Press. "Just on defense, they have me, Chad Greenway, Ben Leber. (Brett) Favre won't be here, so they have to find a quarterback. I just don't see it. I don't know where I'm going to be.
"To me, I'm not one of their high-priority guys."
Edwards, 25, signed a one-year restricted free-agent tender for approximately $2.5 million this past summer.
Edwards, a fourth-round draft pick in 2006, totaled 8.5 sacks and 43 total tackles last season, with another four sacks during the Vikings' playoff run. He has 21.5 sacks and 112 tackles in 59 games for Minnesota.
