One Manning quarterback, Peyton, essentially forced Tim Tebow out of Denver. As fate would have it, Tebow is now in New York, where the other Manning quarterback, Eli, resides as a two-time Super Bowl champion.
The New York media is going insane over the Jets' new backup. Eli, though, just keeps living his life as usual.
"I had a feeling he wasn't going to the Giants," Manning said nonchalantly on Tuesday in an interview with the New York Daily News. "I kind of like to see who the Giants are bringing in, which players that we might lose. That's kind of what I thought."
What else would you expect from Manning on Tebow taking Manhattan? It's Eli's town, anyway. Neither Mark Sanchez nor Tebow can touch him in that department.
Tebow wasn't all that came up during the Daily News' interview. Eli offered his thoughts on Peyton's return to the NFL with the Broncos.
"I'm just happy he's playing football this year," Eli said. "Last year, not being able to watch him on Sundays, on highlights, it was different. It was really the first time since I've been playing football that he wasn't."
