TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals' Sunday game against the Houston Texans has sold out.
After the NFL gave the defending NFC champions a 24-hour extension on the local television blackout deadline, the Cardinals announced the sellout Friday.
The Cardinals said they had just under 1,000 tickets remaining Thursday, and the NFL extended the deadline to 1:15 p.m. MST Friday.
Arizona has now sold out all 37 games at University of Phoenix Stadium, which opened in 2006. However, the team also needed a 24-hour extension on the TV blackout deadline to sell out this year's season opener against the San Francisco 49ers.
