Florida coach Will Muschamp dressed down the media following the Gators' 24-6 win over Toledo for erroneously reporting that freshman Jay-nard Bostwick would be suspended for the game.
The Orlando Sentinel posted video of Muschamp's press conference.
Reportedly, Bostwick was among a group of players suspended prior to the game -- including standout cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy. But while Purifoy did indeed sit out, along with several others reportedly suspended, Muschamp was furious with three media outlets in particular -- the Palm Beach Post, the Gainesville Sun, and Gatorcountry.com.
He called for an outing of the source of the information, saying "(sounds like) church mice in here," then added that "our trust is done," and suggested that he would speak to Director of Athletics Jeremy Foley about whether certain reporters would be banned from team access.
"When you take a shot at a kid and it's written inaccurately, I've got a problem," Muschamp said. "... I am really pissed off. And it's wrong."
