Frank Gore understands his future in San Francisco is in doubt.
However, the 10-year pro told NFL Media's Eric Davis on Friday's NFL AM that with or without him the Niners' offense will bounce back next year.
"We just couldn't get that gel this year," Gore said in a sit down with NFL Network. "We just have too many people hurt. That's what hurt us this whole year."
When specifically asked about quarterback Colin Kaepernick's struggles, Gore didn't waver, saying that the young quarterback will return to form next season.
"He's not broke," Gore said. "I'll put anything on this man. He'll be back next year. He'll be back next year."
Gore reiterated that he wants to be part of that future and sees big things for the 49ers' offense, but he understands if the team decides to go younger in the backfield.
The 31-year-old back said he's thought about the possibility of Sunday being his final jaunt from the 49ers' tunnel.
"I've been thinking about this for the last two weeks," he said "But I know the business of the NFL. We got younger guys here. If it is my last time, I gave this organization all I have. I feel I showed the fans what it takes to be a 49er. If it is my last time, I'll give them a good game."
