Free-agent linebacker Clint Ingram is mulling a contract offer from the New Orleans Saints, a league source said Monday.
Ingram played for Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams in 2008, when the two were with the Jacksonville Jaguars. New Orleans has been looking for linebacker depth after losing starter Scott Fujita to the Cleveland Browns in free agency.
Ingram, a 2006 third-round draft pick by the Jaguars, started 46 of 56 games in Jacksonville and had 194 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He also had two interceptions, one returned for a touchdown.
