Free-agent RB Nick Chubb: 'They've already wrote my ending when I'm just getting started'

Free-agent running back Nick Chubb continues to get back to normal the further he gets from a devastating 2023 knee injury.

The longtime Cleveland Browns running back posted a video on social media earlier this week squatting significant weight -- something he'd famously done pre-injury.

On Tuesday, Chubb offered insight into his mentality with an Instagram post.

"They've already wrote my ending when I'm just getting started," Chubb wrote, adding a bat emoji.

The 29-year-old suffered a gruesome knee injury two games into the 2023 campaign. He returned for eight games last year but never looked like his usual dominant self.

Another year removed from the knee injury could get the four-time Pro Bowler close to normal.

A reunion in Cleveland makes the most sense for both the Browns and Chubb, but at this point, the running back remains a free agent. With a deep draft at the position, the veteran might have to wait until later in the process to find out if he'll return to Cleveland in 2025 or play for a new club for the first time in his eight-year career.
