Time change: The 1:00 p.m. start time in Carolina means that it will be a 10:00 a.m. kickoff back home in San Fransisco. The 49ers are 9-8 when playing the 1 p.m. game on the East Coast since 2010.

Still perfect in '16: The San Fransisco defense still hasn't allowed a point in 2016, as the 49ers shut out the Rams in the season opener, 28-0. Before that performance, the Niners had gone nearly four years without a shutout victory.
