Tony Romo enjoyed great success in his return to the starting lineup on Sunday, throwing for 246 yards and three touchdowns in a blowout win over the Jacksonville Jaguarsin London.
An even greater success for Romo was how he came out of the game. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback reported no new issues playing less than two weeks after fracturing two bones in his back. The Cowboys' offensive line played a big role in this, allowing just one sack.
"He came out of the game fairly clean and didn't seem to have any issues on the flight coming back," head coach Jason Garrett said, according to ESPNDallas.com. "He is in good shape."
Now the perfectly timed bye week. Romo and the Cowboys will face an unprecedented schedule challenge off their bye, when they play Sunday night against the Giants followed by a Thanksgivingafternoon showdown against the Eagles.
"Everybody just has to suck it up and figure out how to get themselves ready physically," Garrett said. "It's a short turnaround. Sunday night to Thursday afternoon I think is the quickest turnaround in the history of the National Football League."
Romo was excellent against the Jaguars but also looked far less than 100 percent. You can safely assume the quarterback will remain intimately familiar with the trainer's room over the next week.
