Justin Forsett hasn't recorded an NFL statistic since before Halloween, but the Denver Broncos plan to correct that reality come Sunday.
Coach Gary Kubiak told reporters Wednesday that he expects the team's newly signed running back to split snaps with rookie Devontae Booker this weekend against the Titans, per The Denver Post's Cameron Wolfe.
The Broncos grabbed Forsett off waivers Monday -- a move Kubiak called a "blessing" -- to fill the void left by Kapri Bibbs, who landed this week on season-ending injured reserve with a high ankle sprain.
The Broncos desperately need to find a runner who can churn out consistent yards for an attack that, ideally, would emphasize the ground game over throws from quarterback Trevor Siemian, who is expected to practice Thursday after sitting out Sunday with a foot injury.
Recent history tells us Forsett is a long-shot to flip the switch, but it appears he'll be given a genuine chance to do so four days from now.
