Georgia RB Todd Gurley out for Tennessee game with injury

Georgia star running back Todd Gurley, ailing with an ankle sprain sustained during the Bulldogs' home win over LSU last week, will not play against Tennessee Saturday, CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson learned.

Gurley, only a sophomore but considered one of the nation's most promising players at his position, leads the Bulldogs with 450 rushing yards, averaging more than 100 per game.

Georgia sophomore Keith Marshall, who has a great deal of experience as Gurley's primary backup since last season, will play more extensively. In fact, Marshall outrushed Gurley against the Volunteers last season with 164 yards on just 10 carries. Gurley ran for 130 against UT last year.

Gurley traveled with the team to UT's Knoxville, Tenn., campus, but did not fully participate in practice this week.

UPDATE: Marshall is out of Saturday's game vs. Tennessee and will not return after suffering a knee injury in the first quarter.
